Self-Care for Mental Health with Jessi Slavich
In this workshop, we will be exploring ways of supporting our mental health beyond consumerist models of self care. Drawing wisdom from feminist and social justice theory, flower essences, aromatherapy and plant medicine, we will find ways to nourish ourselves during a time of remarkable uncertainty and collective anxiety. This space is intended for anyone who experiences any degree of depression, anxiety, ptsd or who is simply struggling and looking to better care for themselves. With a tone of curiosity and kindness, we will be finding new ways to show up for ourselves and gain support from the natural world. We will also talk about stigmas around mental illness and how to ask for help in an individualistic culture that can often make this feel difficult.
